What does the HDA do?

The HDA’s key mandate is to identify, acquire, manage, develop and release state-owned and private land for human settlement developments in South Africa. In tandem with the land acquisition and release function, the HDA is also structured to provide project delivery services in the form of land development, capacity support and capability, as well as the management of projects.
